In an exciting development for Ambala and its residents, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar is set to lay the foundation stone of the Ambala airport on October 15, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Navratri. This significant milestone marks the beginning of construction work at the Ambala domestic airport, also known as Civil Enclave, located on 20 acres adjacent to the Ambala Air Force Station.
The Ambala airport project is a vital step towards enhancing regional connectivity in Haryana, bringing convenience and opportunities to the region’s residents. Under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), this airport is essential in strengthening accessibility and transportation options for Ambala and its neighbouring areas.
The groundwork for this essential infrastructure project is well underway. The technical bid for construction, amounting to a budget of ₹16 crore, has already been opened. Three firms have submitted their proposals, reflecting this endeavour’s enthusiasm and interest.
To underscore the significance of this project, the land allocated for the Ambala airport has been officially registered in the general land register records as “Civil Enclave.” This terminology emphasizes the airport’s dual purpose, catering to both civil aviation needs and as an enclave for the public, contributing to the broader community’s growth and prosperity.
