Vicky Kaushal has proved himself as a versatile actor in the Indian film industry time and again, and his latest role as Sam Manekshaw seems to be another feather in his cap. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the actor will be seen in his upcoming film ‘Sam Bahadur’ of which the trailer has been released today.
The URI actor will be seen essaying the role of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the movie, which will be released on the 1st of December of this year. The movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh in the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sanya Malhotra as Siloo Manekshaw.
It is clear from the trailer that Kaushal has put in a lot of effort to represent the legendary Indian military leader. Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, also known as Sam Bahadur, was born into a Parsi family and was the first Indian Army Officer to get the rank of Field Marshal for his extraordinary service as the Chief of Army Staff during the Indo-Pak 1971 War.
