The Odisha Higher Education Department has started the online application process for the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPET) 2024. Prospective candidates can now register for the examination through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) at http://samsodisha.gov.in. The deadline for submitting applications is set for May 27, 11:45 PM.

Availability of Admit Cards
From June 22, 11:00 AM onwards, on both the SSB website: http://ssbodisha.ac.in and the SAMS portal.
The CPET 2024 examinations are scheduled to be held from July 3 to July 14.
This year’s CPET will consist of three phases of postgraduate admissions, with the first phase comprising four selection rounds. Reservations and weightage policies will be applied in the first two rounds. If there are no eligible applicants for a specific category, the third round will involve de-reserving seats.
Phases and Rounds of Admission
First Phase
Rounds 1 and 2: Selection based on reservation and weightage.
Round 3: De-reservation of seats if necessary.
Round 4: Spot admission round.
Applicants who are selected and accept admission during the first phase in any round and subject at any Higher Education Institution (HEI) will not be eligible to participate in the second and third phases of admissions. These subsequent phases are reserved exclusively for students who were not admitted in the first phase.
