Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) become champions for the third time as they lift the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy by winning a one-sided game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. From the very beginning, KKR came out strong, as they restricted the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen to a low score of 113.
Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled to find their footing in the game, as they performed poorly in the batting, and the case was no different for their bowlers. KKR won the match in just 10.3 overs by 8 wickets, making the final a one-sided game.
KKR’s Venkatesh Iyer scored 52 in just 26 bowls, helping the team reach the target faster. Kolkata Knight Riders owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was also seen in the match in a happy mood, supporting and boosting the confidence of his team. The actor was spotted with his whole family.
Kolkata Knight Riders won the trophy for the third time in their career. They last won the title in 2012 and 2014 simultaneously. It was an easy win for the KKR, as SRH could not set a big target.
