There has been quite a dull period for the Indian film industry, as many movies have underperformed at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira, a Hindi remake of Tamil hit Soorarai Pottru, is all set to release at the near cinemas on July 12.
The 56-year-old actor has given some of the biggest hits of Hindi cinema, though his last few films could not perform great at the box office. Sarfira is going to be Akshay’s 150th film. The original film won 5 national awards that include Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Film.

As the booking of the film opened, the response has not been too great as of now. As per Sacnilk, the booking amount has touched 30.37 lakh only, which may touch 63.42 lakh with blocked seats. Akshay Kumar’s box office pull has taken a backseat since post-pandemic.
Other than Akshay Kumar, Sarfira also stars Radhika Madan, Paresh Rawal, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles. Even though the advance booking number has been too low, there is some hope on the word of mouth, as if the audiences liked the film, then it may bring good numbers in the coming days.
