If the vibes are feeling extra intense these days… it’s not just the collapse of everything you’re noticing. It’s also the planets. Since late October 2024, Jupiter’s transit through the end of Taurus has taken us deep into psychic territory that likely feels dense, entrenched, and hard to move (not uncommon for a fixed earth sign). It’s not necessarily unpleasant, especially if you’re able to stay present and enjoy moving slowly, with long-term goals in mind. But you might feel frustrated by an endless wait to see the fruits of your labor, the sense that a breakthrough is right around the corner but never comes. And you might be feeling the weight of the future, wondering how you’ll cope with whatever it brings. For better or worse, something is about to change.
The imagery that shows up when I consider Jupiter moving from Taurus to Gemini is a flock of birds, taking flight all at once a from a tree. It’s a transition from earth to air, a pressure release, an emergence into a multi-nodal lightness where new possibilities can suddenly emerge. Gemini is a mutable air sign, with themes of language, communication, story-telling, technology, data, neurobiology, learning and information gathering, and the notion that all truth is subjective. Jupiter will bring expansion and amplification to this area of your chart/life. While Taurus, an earth sign, needs linear time and repetition in order to effect a real change, Gemini can turn on a dime, releasing old stories and patterns instantly and moving into new formations. This transit will be destabilizing. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Between July 2025 to September 2025, Jupiter will move through a three-part square to Saturn in Pisces. With so much mutable activation, this transit will irrevocably split some seams in the fabric of reality. It will be a tug-of-war between expansion and contraction, each calling to you from different parts of your life. The creative channel will be open wide for some, while others will be busy making new friends or exploring new spiritual dimensions. But we’ll all be extra susceptible to neurochemical burnout, dysregulation and overwhelm. Whatever’s happening, you’ll probably have to wrestle with boundary setting, structure and discipline in some form. It couldn’t hurt to start thinking about that now, and setting some standards for yourself. Get ready for a wild ride.
These horoscopes should be relevant for the next year! They’re written for rising signs using whole-sign placements — but feel free to check your Sun, Moon and anything else!
How will Jupiter affect your sidereal rising sign (subtract 24 degrees from your rising in Tropical).
ASTERIAN ASTROLOGY CHART
ARIES RISING
Jupiter is entering your third house, related to local communities and events, friends you regularly chat with, siblings, cousins, and neighbors — and also your own communication style. Your social life might expand, with new, exciting invitations coming in. Your own creative inspiration might spark. You might feel restless, or indecisive around how to best spend your time, or overwhelmed by the opportunities. If you can, take a little roadtrip sometime during this transit. Create space for spontaneity. Let go of control and enjoy it.
TAURUS RISING
Despite the desires of your Taurus ascendant, Gemini in the 2nd house means you might not be the type to hold a steady job. This placement likes to have multiple income streams, and prefers diversity in its schedule and its actual work. You probably like to get creative about your finances, and maybe you’ve shown the haters a thing or two about unconventional financial success over the course of your life. Jupiter’s about to bring even more opportunities your way — just be careful not to say yes to everything at once.
GEMINI RISING
If you can, find out when Jupiter crosses your ascendant. This is the most important timing for you, because when a transiting planet crosses from the 12th house into the 1st, something that’s been gathering its form in the invisible realms crosses the threshold and is born into the material world. Jupiter’s crossing the ascendant is very auspicious, and it’s not a bad time to buy a lottery ticket or take other low-risk gambles. If there’s a change to your appearance or presentation you’ve been thinking of making, this is the perfect time.
CANCER RISING
Jupiter will be in your 12th house, where it could make your dreamworld more active, or your imagination more wild. If you’re the psychic type (which you probably are), communication from your spirit guides might start to flood through this year. As with any 12th house transit, there’s potential for feeling isolated, or disconnected from reality. So make sure you touch grass, as the kids say, and especially during the Saturn square, find a constructive way to extract the contents of your subconscious mind.
LEO RISING
Leo rising with Gemini in the 11th is a formidable combination, no matter what else is happening in your chart. It’s hard not to be popular with this energy. Jupiter will bring in new connections, networks, and circuits into your life. If you have trouble deciding which to pursue… well, that’s part of the process. Because of Saturn in your 8th, I recommend making choices that are protective of resources and stable structures in your life, even if that feels like a buzzkill. But don’t worry — your ability to work a crowd definitely isn’t going anywhere.
VIRGO RISING
Some Virgo risings are natural leaders, while others prefer more behind-the-scenes roles. No matter which category fits you, however, you might have realized by now that part of your mission on this earth is communication and information-sharing. Gemini in your 10th house means that your professional yearnings will never be fulfilled unless you have space for creativity, constant learning, and space to speak your mind. This year, opportunities to be more visible professionally might open up. Just be sure that your own thoughts are clear before your open your mouth.
LIBRA RISING
Although you might try to temper it for practicality’s sake, there is a part of you that absolutely loves learning. You have eclectic, varying interests and you like to study things deeply, always looking for the synchronicities and the way diverse subjects interrelate. Jupiter is about to transit your 9th house, so if you can, indulge your desire for expansion this year, whether that looks like travel, spiritual exploration, starting therapy or starting towards a degree. If you’re overwhelmed by the possibilities, look to Saturn in Pisces, and choices that will support you in creating a healthy lifestyle.
SCORPIO RISING
Gemini in your 8th house means (to put it bluntly) that you need variety in your sex life. Whether you’re monogamous or poly, at the very least, you need play and exploration, a partner who’s open to trying to new things. And typically, this placement is kinky. You might have a weird fetish or two, or desires that a single partner can’t fulfill. You’re probably a switch. Jupiter’s transit here could be exciting, but it’s also an energetic combo that could easily get messy. Be sure to use protection, both physical and spiritual. Make choices that will heal your inner child, especially because Saturn in your 5th is definitely a sign to be careful when it comes to all things kid-related.
SAGITTARIUS RISING
Jupiter is entering your 7th house, bringing all kinds of focus to your relationships. This is the area of the chart where you meet others most intimately, inside those relational containers that deepen and evolve over time. With Gemini here, it’s probably hard for you not to have a lot of friends. Jupiter might open the doors to even more. Saturn is transiting your 4th house, though, so don’t neglect your home, your privacy, or your downtime. Try to resist gossip and guard your domestic tranquility. Good luck!
CAPRICORN RISING
With your Gemini 6th house, you probably have a versatile skill set, learn new things quickly, and solve problems in creative ways. You probably crave a flexible schedule and variety in the way you spend your time. When Jupiter begins its transit here, you might end up with a lot on your plate. Your social life might get busy or you might find yourself juggling multiple hustles at once. Enjoy the expansion — just be sure to rest into your Capricorn laurels and keep things as practical as possible.
AQUARIUS RISING
Jupiter’s entrance into your 5th house might start with a sense of restlessness, or a creative urge without a concrete direction. You might feel bouncy, playful, childlike, expressive, etc. If you have kids, or if you spend time around kids, this transit will hopefully increase your connection with them, and could even bring more of them into your life. But another layer of the 5th house is the inner child — what do fun and play and creativity and pleasure mean for you? You’re endlessly curious here, so enjoy the newness Jupiter is bringing in.
PISCES RISING
Jupiter will bring you ancestral blessings of abundance in your living situation for the next year. Although it depends a lot on your other placements, if Gemini occupies your 4th house, you probably aren’t eager to own a home. You may crave the digital nomad lifestyle or something else that allows you to spend regular time in motion. Or you might enjoy living with roommates and/or having friends over all the time. During this season, welcome expansion into your home space; just be wary of Saturn in your first house and remember you’ll probably have to do some boundary-setting, too.
Communication
Known as our Great Benefic, Jupiter tends to betoken glad tidings, windfalls, and opportunities. In this respect, it’s opposite to Saturn (the Great Malefic). Saturn subtracts from life, Jupiter adds to it.
The sign that Jupiter moves into will also have some impact on us. As our “mutable air” constellation, Gemini indicates a quicksilver energy. Accordingly, Jupiter-in-Gemini indicates more movement, change, and increased social butterfly-ism. If we have been feeling stuck or overly comfortable, this upcoming transit portends gains through curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability. “New” is our mantra now.
Gains are also indicated by being more talkative, communicative, and engaged in social hustle. Why? Gemini is ruled by Mercury (aka Planet Communication). The more we give voice to our desires (Gemini+Mercury), the more we can find bounty (Jupiter).
