It’s 2021 and O Racks also known as Tree Gang Racks on his well known Instagram page where he has garnered a fan base and shown that it’s possible to make it out of the slums and hardships that many people grow up facing.
We were curious as to what he went through and how he overcame it.
IT’S AN HONOR TO SPEAK WITH YOU TODAY. WHY DON’T YOU GIVE US SOME DETAILS ABOUT YOU AND YOUR STORY. HOW DID YOU GET TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY?
Well I’m from Hempstead Long Island. For those of you who don’t know that’s the hood in Long Island it’s 15 mins away from Queens. I come from the bottom; I had to get it on my own since a teen in & out of jail since 14. I had to hustle to survive because my family was less fortunate. I started selling weed at the age 11 to help provide. I was considered a product of my own environment. I got shot & stabbed at 15 I was playing with guns & hanging with the wrong crowd. That was just how it was were I was from I did my first real bid at 16 (gun charge) and did a year then went back to jail 17 and was fighting for my life when I got hit with attempted murder. I ended up beating it two years later but it was hard.
Only thing it did do though was change me as a person I came home smarter more ambitious & started to chase my dreams for my rap career. One thing I can say now looking back everything happens for a reason god put me through that to see all the things I was doing wrong and to correct me to think how I think today. So looking back I’m glad I went through it because it made me stronger. And I always say this it could of been worse. I got here today with god on my side plus hard work & dedication I put my all into this music even at times when I wanted to quit I kept going.
I’M SURE YOUR SUCCESS HAS NOT COME EASILY. WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU HAD TO OVERCOME ALONG THE WAY?
I had to go through life or death situations from gettin stabbed getting shot at such a young age. Going to jail back to back as a youngin not even being able to do teen age things every one else was doing like going to prom or graduating. I had to get my GED in jail and really study and read to build my mind. I went through things no kid should go through like seeing people die losing close friends that meant a lot to me. Always felt like know one was there for me but god but it only made me stronger & ready for the real world
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE WORK YOU DO. WHAT DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN AND WHY SHOULD SOMEONE WORK WITH YOU OVER THE COMPETITION?
I specialize in the way I work & how I work. I strategically think things through before I do it but I’m also spontaneous I’ll get up and go across the world randomly to shoot a video. Just because I want to show people I’m different. And people should work with me Because I’m not know slouch if we working together I’m a give my all other people would wait to see what you’ll do but me I’m Gona make the best of it because my name is attached to it. If you know me then you know I do what I say & I stand on that
WHAT’S YOUR BEST PIECE OF ADVICE FOR READERS WHO DESIRE TO FIND SUCCESS IN THEIR LIFE?
My best advice is give it your all don’t listen to other peoples opinions on how you should chase your dream because every one has a different path, a different story you gota be consistent & content at what ever your doing. Don’t do things with negative thoughts always keep a positive mind set & think things through. Manifest what you want done and it will happen. If you believe you gonna be successful with no doubt these that’s what it’s gonna be.

Success means to me winning and doing better than you did before, gaining things you always wanted to gain & reaching all your goals that you set for your self that’s success
