In 2021, Trinity Rose received the coveted Golden Ticket from ABC’s American Idol out of the 100,000+ artists who auditioned for it. Trinity Rose has gotten over millions of streams on her music, with ‘I Promise’ now hitting over 200k on YouTube and millions across social media.
YOUR NAME TRINITY ROSE IS ELEGANT AND BEAUTIFUL. WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND YOUR NAME?
Thank you so much! Well, my parents were friends with these spiritual artists from Sonoma Valley who always planned on naming their child, Trinity. They thought it was based on the Holy Trinities in Catholic and Hindu religions but when they asked my parents about my name they responded back saying “oh we just loved that character in the Matrix”. Haha! Rose is my god mother’s middle name and they gave it to me because my mom loves those flowers.

I loved working on the song with Adil, I loved the vibe and the bridge part I sing is so incredible. He’s such a good guy too and the meaning behind his songs are really pure.
HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN SOMEONE ASKS FOR YOUR AUTOGRAPH?
I’m always shocked! They usually get a hug too 🙂
WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT YOUR FANS?
I completely adore the fact that they love and appreciate my music and lyrics. I loved writing songs with them on my Instagram stories.
WHAT DO YOU FIND TO BE THE MOST STRUGGLING ASPECT OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?
I’m not too fond of the fake people that you may come across within this business. You also have to work really hard to break through the algorithm, trends, etc. As much as I love creating and making content, it can get a little tiring. I believe that taking a break is necessary for everyone and is a healthy choice.
IF YOU WERE NOT DOING MUSIC, WHAT WOULD YOU PURSUE?
I’d probably be a baker or an astrologer – I love giving tarot readings to people!

Meet Adil C! The 24-year-old Canadian pop singer from Toronto, ON. Adil C has been writing music since he was a kid and jumped into pop singing when he heard “Let Me Love You” by DJ Snake & Justin Bieber. The Canadian singer has over 15 million streams/listens across all his social media platforms and has been recognized by notable celebrities such as Addison Rae, Monty Lopez, Sheri Nicole, Chase Hudson (HUDDY), Bella Thorne, Marc D’Amelio, Scooter Braun, and many more.
HOW DID ADIL C COME TO BE?
It all started when my parents took me to their clothing store in a market. I found a music shop beside their shop and I let my curiosity take the wheel. The second I stepped foot into the music store, it was like I stepped into the world of sound. I fell in love. It was at that moment; I knew music was my life journey. I was 8 when that first happened and that very same day, was the same day I held my first guitar in my hands. As I grew up, I played a lot of guitar and drums. I got very interested in rock music and was in a band for many years. At the age of 14 I wanted to do something larger with sound, beyond instruments. I was a very chatty kid, so I started leaning more towards a mic. It was the best decision of my life. I sucked for many years, got boo’d off stage, and was made fun of a lot. But it taught me discipline. When I became 18 my voice finally started to shape into the sound that it is today. ‘Let Me Love You’ by DJ Snake and Justin Bieber was the first sound that dove me into the pop world. And ever since then, Adil C was made.
WOULD YOU SAY ‘I PROMISE’ IS YOUR FAVOURITE RELEASE SO FAR?
Right now, yes. Writing/filming this with Trinity made this song so much more epic. If she wasn’t part of this, it honestly wouldn’t have been as fun.
WHY IS ‘I PROMISE’ ON THE TOP OF YOUR CHARTS NEXT TO ALL OF YOUR OTHER SONGS?
Cinematic pop. I love epic movie soundtracks. I feel like I was able to catch a little bit of that movie/soundtrack type of sound/emotion throughout the song. I also love how the song incorporates a very low-key touch of rock as the tune builds up. The vocals are also super catchy which makes it fun for me to sing. And I think it’s funny how it became catchy. It wasn’t really a “stuck in your head” song ‘til Trinity sent over her vocal recordings to the studio for us to play around with it. She recorded her vocals in Malibu; and I did mine in Toronto. Then for the music video she flew out to Toronto, Canada to film it with me (filmed by Ray Sicard) then end of 2021 I flew out to LA for the release of the song. I always think to myself wow, what a fun collaborative song. Literally.
WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART ABOUT WORKING WITH TRINITY ROSE?
When she tried to capture the camera drone with her hand! Our camera man Ray Sicard has a really nice DJI film drone and Trinity loved it! Ray knows how to land the camera in his hand so she wanted to try doing that as well. She has an adorable dog named Ronan (him and I are great buddies I love that doggo) and she thought the drone was cute so she named the drone, Dronan. Now, I said be careful and we were all goofing off. While Ray was lowering the drone, the propellers came into contact with a tree branch and some leaves..next thing you know “Dronan” tried to attack Trinity. I thought that was so insane. It’s on my Tik Tok and Instagram.
IF YOU COULD REDO ‘I PROMISE’ WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE UP?
Am I sensing a remix? I would love to hear ‘I Promise’ as a slowed down, simplified, stripped down remix with very few instruments. I feel like this song’s vibe could change drastically with different types of background music.
As per the original recording, some vocal lines were recorded about 3 years ago, and some were done a year ago. Could’ve been cool to get all new fresh takes.
WE SEE PENCILS OF PROMISE IS BACKED UP BY THE SONG. COULD YOU EXPLAIN A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THAT?
Of course! Pencils of Promise is basically my favourite charity. They stand for global education and knowledge being accessible to everyone. My belief – power is knowledge. Without knowing how to do something, you can’t do it. You can always try, but trial creates experiences which creates knowledge. I’ve been supporting the charity for years. It’s also founded by Adam Braun, super good guy. He went backpacking in India many years ago and a little kid came up to him and asked him for a pencil. And it all started with that. The song ‘I Promise’ is backing their event ‘I Promise You’. We’re helping spread awareness, support, donors, and fans to help the charity continue to provide education, build schools, and grow.
YOUR SONG HAS 100k LISTENS BEFORE EVEN HITTING ONE FULL MONTH. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS MAY BE YOUR BIGGEST SONG SO FAR?
So far, it’s not the biggest song. But I have a good feeling this may be one that just might take off. Something is just telling me.
