Mellieħa Bay

This bay is one of the prime holiday locations in Malta and some of the best hotels are located there. With its gentle slopes leading to deeper water, Mellieha Bay is an ideal beach for swimming with the family. There are many facilities and various water sports around the beach, like sea kayaking, water skiing, windsurfing, banana riding – work.
Tip: Avoid visiting it on weekends as it gets really busy, especially on weekends. It’s not only a favorite location among tourists, but it’s a top beach for locals as well.
Pretty Bay
This is one of the few sandy beaches in the South of Malta. Pretty Bay is located in Birzebbuga and is an artificial large sandy beach. The buildings around add a special charm to it. Although the bay is artificially filled with sand, it is very beautiful. There are many cafés, bars, and restaurants around Pretty Bay. There are also a football pitch and a playground for the children.

Blue Lagoon and Comino island
The tiny island Comino is located between Malta and Gozo. Despite its size, it has a huge reputation with tourists. There is the famous Blue Lagoon, a must-see spot in Malta! The area around the beach is not well designed but there are some cafes and restaurants behind the beach. Dunes protect and the streams that make up the bays are green and fertile. The terraced walls built by the farmers make the valley look like a blanket seen from the surrounding mountains. There are myths and stories that Roman ruins lie under the sand and reach Ramla Bay.
