With Class 10th and 12th CBSE board exams starting today, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an advisory for Delhi-NCR students. Due to traffic disruptions caused by farmers’ protests and security restrictions, students are advised to leave early and utilize metro services to reach their exam centers on time.
Exams begin at 10:30 am, and students must report by 10:00 am sharp. The advisory highlights the “prevailing situation in Delhi” and potential traffic issues, particularly affecting areas near the Tikri and Singhu borders. Residents here express concerns about their children reaching exam centers amidst the blockades.
To mitigate delays, the CBSE recommends utilizing the Delhi Metro, currently operating smoothly. This eliminates dependence on road traffic and ensures timely arrival.
The advisory extends to CBSE students across India and abroad, urging them to consider local traffic, weather, and distance while planning their journey. All students must reach their centers by 10:00 am, after which entry will be prohibited.
This year, over 39 lakh students from India and abroad will appear for the board exams. In Delhi alone, 5,80,192 students will take the exams at 877 centers.
Adding to the anxiety, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has called for a ‘Bharat Bandh’ on Friday, further impacting transportation options. Despite these challenges, students and their families urge authorities for a smooth examination process.
This advisory underscores the importance of careful planning and alternative transportation options for students appearing for crucial board exams in Delhi-NCR. Students can use the metro and leave early to ensure a stress-free commute and focus on their examinations.
