Acknowledged as a “rising selector” by Crack Magazine, multifaceted DJ, Producer, and Label Boss Ceri, is setting to ignite the summer with her new single “Don’t You Wanna (Tantric Sex)” released via her imprint Find Your Own Records.
A deeply personal journey, marking her first time writing and recording her own vocals, “Don’t You Wanna (Tantric Sex)” is a finessed Vogue style track that blends the spirit of Chicago and Detroit jackin’ house with a hint of Electroclash for good measure. With Ceri’s sensory soundscaped pitched down vocals and weighty basslines, this true story of heartbreak has already received dancefloor approval at Berlin’s Heideglühen, and Ibiza’s DC10 and Pikes. Early artist support has come from industry luminaries such as Jamie Principle, Chez Damier, Fred P, Cormac, I Jordan, Special Request, Skream, and more.
A true story of heartbreak, two souls who were meant to be, but he ignored the signs from the Divine, listening to his ego and mind instead of his heart, so he missed out on the opportunity to have true soul aligned divine tantric sex with me!! So, I have to move on, and find someone else who ‘can communicate, and be a team’. At first, I thought this was a shame, but now I think it’s ok!!
Ceri has collaborated with Leighton Rees Milan to create a bespoke Choreography for the track. Leighton is a Dancer, Choreographer, Creative Director, and Founder of the Welsh Ballroom Community, (the first Welsh Ballroom Community celebrating the ballroom scene in Wales). Leighton was the first person in Wales to be asked to join the UK Dynasty of The Royal Iconic House Of Milan, a legendary Ballroom House which was founded in 1989 in the United States by Eric Christian Bazaar. The dance will be performed at the likes of Amnesia and Pikes in Ibiza this summer during Ceri’s sets and beyond and there will be a killer remix package following this summer.
The release is therefore more than just a musical offering, giving an exploration of dance, intimacy, connection, and self-awareness, reflecting Ceri’s deep-rooted belief in tantra as a way of life, and a dance echoing the narrative. For Ceri, tantra transcends the physical / sensual, embodying an approach to living with presence and integrity in all areas of life.
“To me (and a lot of others), Tantra is a way of life. Living with presence and integrity in ALL moments (as best we can as flawed humans). It’s about way more than just ‘sex’, and in fact, my version of tantra is not the ‘red’ tantra most people have heard of. For me, it’s often a solo practice about purification of the body and mind.”
Ceri’s approach to tantra emphasises Divine Union and the importance of full body, mind, spirit, and heart connections. Whilst the track sounds very fun and tongue in cheek (no pun intended if you know the first line), her new single also has a hidden deeper message; reflecting these beliefs, aiming to inspire listeners to seek deeper and create more meaningful connections both on and off the dancefloor.
Known for her marathon sets, Ceri has performed at renowned venues like Fabric, Drumsheds, Pikes and Amnesia Ibiza, and the legendary Panorama Bar/Berghain, sharing the booth with club favourites such as Ryan Elliot, Jeremy Underground, Paranoid London, and Objekt. Her productions are celebrated for their originality and depth with a pure classic feel. Her recent release “Can’t Pay My Bills” received widespread support from industry heavyweights like Kerri Chandler, Moodymann, Chloe Caillet, Skream, Luke Una, Move D, Jamie Jones, and many more… With her label Find Your Own Records, Ceri has created a home for herself, plus remixes from genuine house legends like Mr. G, Fred P, and Alex Arnout with releases gaining support from Mixmag, Resident Advisor, BBC Radio 1, BB6Music, and BBC1Xtra.
Beyond her musical endeavours, Ceri is a thought leader, hosting masterclasses on Creativity, Mental Health, Meditation, and Wellness via platforms such as Beatport, ADE, RedBull, Point Blank, and Native Instruments. Her holistic approach to life and music has earned her a distinctive reputation as a multifaceted artist and advocate for mindful living. In a club scene that often celebrates liberal expressions of sexuality, Ceri’s perspective on tantra offers a refreshing dialogue on personal energy and relationships. Her new track, “Don’t You Wanna (Tantric Sex)” embodies this ethos, inviting listeners to explore a profound connection with themselves and others, in line with the inclusive spirit upon which electronic music was founded both on and off the dancefloor.
