Singer-songwriter Davis Mallory has announced the release of his latest single and music video, “Wavelength,” now available on all streaming platforms.
“Wavelength” was co-written in Nashville with husband and wife duo Anthony Rankin, guitarist for country star Gary Allan, and Kate Ryder. Anthony Rankin (pka ANTi) not only produced but also mixed and mastered the track. The concept of “Wavelength” – being on the same wavelength as someone else – was inspired by Kate Ryder, making the song a collaborative and heartfelt creation.
“When the song was written, I felt that Hawaii would make the perfect location to film the video,” Davis shares. Known for his frequent DJ gigs in the Hawaiian Islands, Davis seized the opportunity to bring his vision to life during a recent trip.
The music video for “Wavelength” was directed by Hawaiian filmmaker Justin Tapuro and features local actress Nanea Viggers. The video showcases the breathtaking landscapes of Maui, starting at Espresso Mafia coffee in Makawao, exploring the forests in northern West Maui, traveling along the Road to Hana to a hidden waterfall, and concluding at a Secret beach in southern Maui at sunset, one of Davis’ favorite spots on the island.
“Filming in Hawaii was a dream come true. The island’s natural beauty perfectly captures the essence of ‘Wavelength’ and the connection we were trying to portray,” says Davis.
The new single and music video are now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Fans can watch the “Wavelength” music video here.
