The Don franchise began in 1978 with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role and was revived in 2006 with Shah Rukh Khan taking on the iconic character of Don. As the film was a success at the box office, it was followed by a sequel, Don 2, in 2011.
While fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a third instalment in the series, many were shaken and upset to hear that Ranveer Singh will replace Shah Rukh Khan as the new Don.
