Dr. Behnam Shakibaie, an Iranian-German Oral Surgeon, was in 2010 the first author worldwide to scientifically describe clinical uses of dental microscope in the discipline of Implantology. Since then he has been developing and publishing multiple techniques and instruments in the new field of Microsurgical and Microscopic Implantology, such as Microscopic Open and Closed Sinus Lift, Microscopic Tooth Extraction along with Socket and Ridge Preservation and Microscopic Split Rolling Flap Technique for implant exposure.
Dr. Behnam Shakibaie with mentioned scientific achievements, brought him different internationally recognized prizes, such as the “German Periodontology Award” and the “American Micro Dentistry Congress Award.”

The field of Implant Microsurgery owes a great deal to Dr. Behnam Shakibaie. He has extensive training in several subfields of dentistry, including Microsurgery, Microscopic Dentistry, and Implantology.
For the purposes of oral implantology and jaw bone reconstructions, he has been developing and publishing new microsurgical techniques and instruments.
Dr. Shakibaie collaborates on studies at Penn and Michigan as a science instructor for the Zeiss Dental Academy.
He earned his medical degree from Berlin University and then spent time at both Berlin and Bonn University, focusing on oral surgery. Dr. Shakibaie is a specialist in oral microsurgery and microscopic dentistry with degrees from the Zeiss Dental Academy in Switzerland and Germany’s DGI and DGP, respectively.
He has lectured around the world and has been honored with many scientific prizes.
