A former McDonald’s worker Tanya McDonnell has allegedly gone from £7-an-hour shifts serving burgers to an extremely lavish lifestyle of a £1,000-a-day model.
Just a year ago Tanya was working in McDonald’s and taking orders for milkshakes and fries. But the whole story changed when she was talent-spotted after she posted her glamorous holiday shots from Dubai on Instagram.
Now, the 23-year-old model travels the world on assignments, and posing for brands such as Beauty Bay, Superdrug, and Public Desire. Also, Tanya is on the books of MGM Models in Germany and W Model Management in London.
It was J’adore Models, a Manchester-based modeling agency that sent her a message on her ‘Instagram’ to sign her up.
She believes that her story will inspire others to follow their dreams.
Currently, Tanya lives with her parents in Houghton-le-Spring, Co Durham. In a statement, she said, “It completely took me by surprise. I want to let everyone know that anyone can do this. Dreams can happen.”
Tanya, who left her job at McDonald’s in the Galleries shopping Centre, Washington, Tyne and Wear in Feb, 2019 is single. And her modelling career has taken her on assignments to several different places, which includes Iceland, Germany and Dubai, where it all began.
Further she said, “I didn’t think any of this would ever happen, but it did.”
She even advices young hopefuls who are looking to break into modelling.
She further said, “Don’t think that you’re not going to get what you really want in life. It can come to you when you least expect it. I went from serving burgers to posing for pictures. My lifestyle is completely different from when I was in McDonald’s, I never thought this would happen. I saw myself moving to a different branch. Last year I was a crew member, taking orders and making burgers.”
Tanya was ‘scouted’ in early 2019. She added, “I never expected it and I am really happy. But at the same time I am going to work hard and get where I can.”
