Next month is going to be a heart month as you are going to notice a lot of people wearing red for the “Go Red For Women” campaign. It is going to be a day where people commit to stand together and take charge of their heart health.
The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon will allegedly be held at the Ritz Carlton St. Louis on February 7.
Go Red For Women campaign was started fifteen years ago in order to raise awareness among women about their great health threat – heart disease. Gradually, the campaign grew into a mass movement – a movement that not only brought together thousands of women annually but also it became the trusted, passionate, relevant force for change to alleviate heart disease and stroke all across the world.
This campaign provides a unique platform for women and their families to help them lead healthier lives, and also it drives collective action for community transformation. Well, the campaign is not just about wearing red; and it is also not about sharing heart health facts. In fact, it’s about:

This empowering event primarily focuses on preventing heart diseases and stroke by building awareness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and raising critically-needed funds to support research and education initiatives. Cardiovascular diseases, which include stroke said to claim the life of a woman every 80 seconds.
