UNCUT WITH LUCIA (Authors Interviews) series is an exclusive move by WorldAuthors.Org (a not-for-profit organization) to introduce readers to different authors and writers from across the world along with their outstanding work.
In the series, WorldAuthors.Org have another author interview with a very famous author Stephanie J. Miller. Recently, Stephanie launched her book, named “Zero Waste Living, the 80/20 Way.” Through this book, the author wants to empower the busy individual to do things that impact the climate and waste crises. All the things that she expects busy individuals to do are easy and robust.
The Midwest Book Review endorsed Zero Waste Living; the 80/20 Way as a “quick and easy read that will have an immense and lasting impact on how ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference when it comes to helping resolve the Climate Crisis and Waste Management problems…[It] is especially and unreservedly recommended for community, college, and university library Environmental Studies collections.”
Besides being a successful author, Stephanie Miller is the founder of Zero Waste. She founded Zero Waste in DC with the only objective to buckle-down the application of zero waste strategies that have a real and sustainable impact. She provides advisory services to individual households, corporates, and communities. She aims to reach a broader audience and empower them with zero-waste strategies that will positively impact the environment.
She worked at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, as Director of IFC’s Climate Business Department. In her 25 years of career, she has been leading global teams to come up with innovative solutions to climate change.
Being a responsible citizen, she believes that it’s not just the Government’s job to solve the looming climate and waste crises. Rather, she firmly believes that each of us should play our part in the most responsible way to get the results we all want.
This book unlocks each “too busy” individual’s potential to be a crucial part of the solution. Stephanie Miller combines her career focused on climate change with her own research and personal experience to show how a few relatively easy lifestyle changes can create a significant positive impact. Using the simplicity of the 80/20 rule, she shows us those things (the 20%) that we can do to make the biggest (80%) difference in reversing the climate and waste crises.
