The American reality show star and model Kendall Jenner joined the popular video-sharing platform TikTok on Monday; though, the account of the famous celeb was deleted in less than 24 hours after it launched.
Kendall posted a video clip brushing her hair as she poses to “Pretty face” by King Staccz. Kendall is undoubtedly the strongest personal brand, the clip got nearly a million likes at the moment it was posted and account reached half a million followers. But Jenner’s adventure in the popular video app only lasted 24 hours.
“Within hours the account was verified, but when an internal review raised questions about the account’s authenticity, and TikTok immediately deleted it as a precaution,” the social media platform, which is owned by Beijing-based ByteDance, told Business Insider in a statement.”
TikTok is very popular in Asia, especially in India with 467 million downloads. 90% of TikTok users use the app daily. Tiktok, originally the app called Musical.ly, was launched in 2017 and now has around 500 million active users across the globe.
