Faust A. Ruggiero is a well-known research author, clinical trainer, and therapist. His professional career has spanned nearly 40 years and is diverse and compelling, as he has steadily established new and exciting cutting-edge counseling programs in his pursuit of professional excellence and personal life enhancement.
He has worked in myriads of places, including deaf children’s clinics, prisons, nursing homes, substance abuse treatment centers, inpatient facilities, and as the President of the Community Psychological Center in Bangor, Pennsylvania. In that capacity, he created the Process Way of Life counseling program, which has since been formalized and published in the Fix Yourself Handbook.
Mr. Ruggiero attended Illinois State University’s graduate program in Psychology after graduating from Mansfield University in 1977.
With a dual major in clinical and developmental psychology and a minor in research, he helped to publish several research articles, including his thesis “The effects of prosocial and antisocial television programs on the cognitions of children.”
After completing his graduation in psychology, Mr. Ruggiero began working with Antoinette Goffredo counseling services providing psychological intervention to adolescent deaf children. In 1982, he joined the Lehigh Valley Alcohol Counseling Center; since then, he has been associated with numerous substance abuse treatment centers, inpatient facilities. After working with numerous substance abuse centers and facilities, Mr. Ruggiero accepted an invitation to become a trainer for the Pennsylvania Department of Health in 1994.
Mr. Ruggiero is a well-known research author in addition to providing counselling services to first responders, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel. He developed and began using the Process Way of Life Program after several years of experimenting with various therapeutic approaches.
