Best friends since high school and now partners in crime Louis X & Arli have been making and collaborating on songs together since the age of 16 years old. The idea behind this remix is bringing a more familiar sound closer to the underground club scene. We wanted to make a version of “London Bridge” that we can easily use during our DJ sets. This remix combines the groovy bass sound that is used in many popular tech house songs and a punchy kick that would work in most professional sound systems. This summer we are in a privileged position to be playing in big clubs such as Cavo Paradiso Mykonos, and Residencies in many popular clubs like Cosma Mykonos and more. The djs also added that this remix is one of many to come during the summer as they want their sets to be unique and special.
London Bridge” is a song recorded by American singer and rapper Fergie for her debut studio album The Dutchess in (2006). Produced by Polow da Don and written by Sean Garrett, Mike Hartnett and Fergie herself. The original song was released in july 18, 2006 and belongs to Dance-Pop genre while the remix version was just released this month.
“London Bridge” was a commercial success and reached the top ten in 13 countries. In the United States, it peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling over two million digital copies and becoming the singer’s second best-selling song in the country.
We have been big fans of Fergie and Black Eyed Peas and we wanted to honor them with this remix. We believe that certain sounds shouldn’t be forgotten so we tried to add new elements that would be more familiar to the night clubs Louis X & Arli said during our interview.
This remix is released on popular DJ platforms such as hyppedit and SoundCloud, gaining already support by many big names in the industry.
