Talented rapper Jupiter Gray has unveiled her latest EP, “Pressure.” Released on January 11, it is a 6-track project that was recorded digitally in Columbus, Ohio. This brilliant piece of art is sure to mesmerize Gray’s fans around the world. This EP showcases her raw,
vulnerable, and whimsical sides. It follows Jupiter as she rediscovers her competitiveness in the male-dominated and transphobic genres of hip-hop and rap.
With powerful bars, beats, and lyrics, “Pressure” is a sarcastic retort to all those who doubt Gray’s skills and abilities. Furthermore, in this album, collaborations with other talents are seen, effectively demonstrating artistry in creating something new.
Gray joined forces with Melody The Ghost, a transwoman from California in charge of the EP’s production. Heather Hills contributed in the track ‘Bad Girls,’ while Florida personality 99 in the track ‘Freakz,’ and Chill Smith produced the song ‘Pluto.’
Jupiter Gray is known for her lyricism and transgender identity. Prior to ‘Pressure,’ she released well-received singles such as ‘Can’t Afford Me’ and ‘Villain.’ She was supposed to sign with a major label in 2017, but the label never contacted her again after her transition became public. Indeed strong-willed, that circumstance didn’t stop Gray, she chose to move ahead instead and pursue her career in the field. In 2018, she released her debut project “Flowasis” as a trans woman. She has risen to an unprecedented level and established herself as a force to be reckoned with. She has been featured in prestigious music publications such as Billboard, Boston Hassle, Paper Magazine, Grammy.com, and so on. “Pressure,” her most recent release, is brimming with enchanting rhythms and powerful lyrics that will certainly gain her new listeners.
