Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss a series of issues which includes violence in Manipur, price rise and many more.
In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress leader pointed out 9 issues to be discussed for the Special Parliament session. In her letter, Gandhi highlighted that the Special Session was summoned ‘without any consultation’.
“I must point out that this Special Session was convened without any consultation with other political parties. None of us have any idea of its agenda. All we have been communicated is that all five days have been allocated for Government business,” the Congress leader wrote in the letter.
Issues like inflation, boosts in cases of communal tension, border issues with China and unemployment are raised in the letter. Mrs Gandhi, in her letter to PM Modi, demanded discussions on several issues going on in the country during the special session.
The Congress leader added that “We most certainly want to participate in the Special Session because it will give us an opportunity to raise matters of public concern and importance. I earnestly hope that time will be allocated under the appropriate Rules for a discussion and debate on these issues”.
