The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is the cornerstone for filling numerous positions within the Central Government through its annual competitive examinations. With each passing year, the commission meticulously plans the examination calendar, delineating the dates for forthcoming exams slated throughout the year. However, the difficulties of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 have necessitated a revision in the examination schedule.
Adjustments have been made to ensure a seamless electoral process for the array of examinations conducted by the SSC, including those for Multi-tasking Staff, CPO SI, Junior and Senior Translators, Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Stenographers, and GD.
Certain examinations have been rescheduled in light of the electoral events unfolding across the nation. The Junior Engineer Exam (JE) – encompassing Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying, and Contracts – originally slated for June 4, 5, and 6, will now be held on June 5, 6, and 7. Similarly, the Selection Post Examination Phase 12 2024 has been shifted to June 24, 25, and 26.
Moreover, the examination for the Sub-Inspector post in Delhi Police and Central Armed Forces (Paper 1) will now transpire on June 27, 28, and 29. Meanwhile, the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level exam has been rescheduled between July 1 and July 12.
The decision to postpone these recruitment examinations underscores the SSC’s commitment to ensuring the electoral process unfolds smoothly and without hindrance.
With the Lok Sabha election results slated for announcement on June 4, the commission will promptly resume its recruitment proceedings thereafter. A notice posted on the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in) elucidates the rescheduling of examinations due to the electoral exigencies, advising candidates to remain vigilant and regularly peruse updates on the commission’s website.
