The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sushma Homework Owner Welfare Association took place on December 16, 2023, with the guidance of its founding members and the leadership of the RWA President. The meeting, a platform for owners to voice their concerns and elect a new team, shed light on various issues related to building maintenance, unfulfilled promises, and the community’s overall welfare.
Sushma Homework, located in Zirakpur, is a project constructed by Sushma Buildtech Ltd. and maintained by Manhattan Infra Services Private Limited. Positioned strategically on the Ambala-Chandigarh Highway, opposite renowned brands like Burger King and Starbucks, the property’s prime location is the builder’s and its owners’ pride.
The primary focus of the AGM was the election of a new team to address the concerns raised by the owners. Critical issues discussed included building maintenance problems such as drainage, sewage, and water connection, as well as the neglect of the garden area. Residents also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of completed facilities promised by the builder, including the absence of a boardroom, solar system, and rain harvesting system.
Owners emphasized that the unfulfilled promises were not merely inconveniences but had broader implications for both the environment and the well-being of the occupants. Facilities like the solar system and rain harvesting system, promised by the builder during the property purchase, are essential for the community and contribute to environmental sustainability. It was noted with disappointment that Sushma Buildtech had neglected to fulfill these and more of its commitments.
Sushma Buildtech, claiming to be one of the finest brands in the region, had even failed to provide abasic drinking water facility throughout the entire project.
Despite facing challenges, the RWA members demonstrated unity by electing a new team during the AGM. The focus of the meeting extended beyond individual concerns to the collective welfare of every occupant in Sushma Homework. This unity underscores the determination of the community to address the issues at hand and work towards a better living environment.
