West End Company threw their first event on September 18th, 2021, following the 2 year long quarantine. The event funded by, CEO West End Taz & Vice President of the company Johnathan Johnson, was held in Belleville, New Jersey at Activated Ent. DJ Hektik provided the music to the energized set that also featured Jersey artists $tandard & Fuzz Rico. Taz was said to have performed his buzzing single “Free Da Bros” Featuring Daddy CO & Fatboy SSE along with a slew of records off the “2X” album & a few newly released songs from the time spent at home during this Covid pandemic. Both Taz & V.P. John Johnson have informed me they intend to continue these events and push them to different states.
HOW DO YOU PLAN ON BUILDING PROMOTION FOR THESE EVENTS MILES AND MILES AWAY?
West End Taz: We will continue to book these best talent from whatever area we are in. Our whole intention when originally thought of throwing these events was that we wanted to get artists paid and more importantly, HEARD. We are taking it one event at a time and will continue to learn and grow. We hope to take a good reputation with us to any location we decide to go to.”
WHERE DO YOU PLAN ON DOING THE NEXT EVENT?
West End Taz: I don’t want to say too much about the next event haha we try to just pop up with the flyer and go hard with promotion but … Philly area (Philadelphia, PA) most likely.
WHAT SONG DID YOU LIKE PERFORMING THE BEST?
West End Taz: End of the Night, without a question was my favorite song to perform. I love all my rap songs but that R&B hits different. We actually have a video on the way for that one. I’m glad I’m getting to promote it more, the response to all my new stuff has been overwhelming.
BESIDES THE EVENTS & MUSIC WE’VE TALKED ABOUT, WHAT ELSE DOES WEST END COMPANY HAVE IN STORE FOR 2022?
West End Taz: Well, once again, I really don’t want to say too much … but I will say John & I have been focusing on branding. We are currently working on our podcast & West End show so we hope all these things add to the brand, continuing to grow the platform.
West End Taz recently opened West End Company Offices where he plans on beginning filming “The Company” podcast & structuring Season 1 of his new show/ vlog “West End or What”. The show will include footage from the events, studio sessions, behind the scenes, & more. West End Company sold half the ticket capacity and said they will continue to do smaller sized venues until Covid has completely ended.
